MAINZ TRIP 2004
As you can see from the pics we never actually made it to the show,
Well ok then it was me who stayed in bed for two days with swolen ankles, it was fuckin cold riding to Koln.
We had a great time all the same with plenty to drink and porn on the tv.
The show itself was well attended and the quality of the bikes built and entered was mind blowing, the most striking thing for me was the sense of belonging and it was as if we had known these guys all our lives. A real good feeling
Jon and Nobby entered last years bike into the show, Which I dont have a photo of because Billy Bubb cant get off his arse and e-mail it to me, nuff said.
There was some serious competition at the show but for a first entry Hawg Haven done well and got a lot of interest although were not placed. I thought the boys would be pissed off but were already planning for 2005 before we had loaded the bike into the van. Well done them there men.
For anyone not familiar with the Custom Chrome International show. It is held in the old Tiger tank factory in Mainz, near Frankfurt and begins on the Friday with all the entries being set up. Saturday is dealer day with Sunday being open to the public. Although it is hard work for the guys, what with building the bike.
DANIELLA WESTBROOK ( EASTENDERS) IS LIVING PROOF THAT USING ASSISTANCE CAN CHANGE YOUR PHYSICAL APPEARANCE.
DON'T BE A VICTIM, GET THE TUBE AS FAR UP YOUR NOSE AS IT WILL GO, THAT WAY ONLY YOUR HEAD WILL CAVE IN.
getting there, getting set up and all the crap which is normal for such an event, all the graft was worth it when you look at the quality of the bikes and of course the after show parties at the end of each night.
The parties are a great way of networking and looking to the future. ( I must stop talking complete crap, they are an excuse to get hammered and eye up the dealers hired tottie ) All said and done, it is one of the top shows in Europe and is well worth a visit.
