Since all of you know how easy it is for me to get bored and how itchy my ass gets with no bike under it. True to HawgsDream style I decided to fuck off to do some riding.
Decision time. It is December so where to go thats warm, Eureka !! The sunshine state Florida, Nice weather, Daytona Beach etc. I shit you not it was fucking freezing and only got better when I arrived at the airport to come home.
Still I had a great time and met some great people.
I arrived in Orlando in time to watch the space shuttle take off, a bonus as I did not know it was planning a trip, but it looked good from my hotel balcony.
I asked at reception where the nearest biker bar could be found to my surprise a rather fit looking receptionist pointed me in the direction of the bar via a rip off taxi. The bar was all I expected of an american biker bar, fights live music and you could blow smoke at the barmaid without the risk of prosecution. I ordered my Bud and JD chaser and got talking to a girl called Tammi ( sorry for calling you a girl but woman sounds so old and I am having a crisis ) who I got on well with right away.
Now this bar is in an area that the most efficient sat nav would flash up a warning to avoid so to venture in there was in hindsight foolhardy. but to find someone there like Tammi was downright freaky. Tammi is a biker bitch who also plans road trips for bikers. I had a great week with her and we done some bars and had a good laugh. Thanks Tammi.
Although it was great to link up with her she also introduced me to some great people, my favourite was a Harley riding Macaw called Spyke. I know you will say wake up dopey its a fucking bird, this bird was more human than some of the cretins I know. Spyke opened your beer for you and also was a great hit in the titty bars.
We also visited big Ron at Born To Ride who was an absolute gent and showed me everything he done at the magazine and the TV channel. Check out what Ron is up to click the BTR link
Also now that I have had a gentle prod for not giving Tammi her pound of flesh in ommitting to give her site a mention here it is on the link to the left.
