ABOUT US REPROBATES
THIS SITE IS JUST A WAY FOR US TO KEEP OUR FRIENDS INFORMED AND INVOLVED IN OUR RIDING LIVES
Thanks for visiting our website. We are in essence just a bunch of lowlife, scoundrels, vagabonds and rogues (with the exception of the Hawg Haven team and Sean, who are in no way involved in illegal substances, wayward women, prostitution or racketeering) who have one thing in common, "enjoy the ride now cause tomorrow may never come".
Our trip began back in the 80s in Norwich, England, when Jon (billy bubb) Quantrel and I first hooked up and along the way connected with some other reprobates who have become and remain "our extended riding family".
We have enjoyed many occasions of getting together and with some "assistance", drank enough to kill an army.
At some point or another we have all belonged to either MCC or backpatch clubs, but got bored with the Stalinist attitudes of some of our fellow members so one by one we drifted into obscurity. Jon and Nobby then decided to chase their dreams together and Hawg Haven was born. The birth of HH gave us all renewed interest in being together at every opportunity, so we have embarked on the HH world tour. Starting in 2004 with the boys building a bike which was entered in the Custom Chrome show in Mainz Germany, we set off, the boys in the van with the bike and me being a daft bastard even though the boys pleaded "come in the van" I set off on my VTX1800 plastic piece of shit. We made it to Koln before snow and frozen walnuts forced me to retire to the van.
2005 saw us heading for Mainz once again this time we flew, while the Wedding bike which was entered in the show, went by van.
Six pints of Guinness and a bottle of JD later we arrived in Germany, slightly the worse for wear, although Jim was still up for a tryst with the nearest bin bag (a warning against snorting viagra). Needless to say the weekend was one of the best I have been on and the craic was good.
Hopefully you will find the site of interest and if any of you are going to Faro 2005 look out for the Hawg Haven shirts and introduce yourselves. Any bin bags that are going Jim is the Geordie with the wry smile and permanent erection.
We made it to and from Faro in 2005 so catch up on how we got on in the link to the left.
2006 and it was back on the show road for Jon & Nobby with PSY-BAWG and during all the building mayhem we still managed to fit in Spain 2006 as part of our world tour.
The trip down was great with only one fatal error on our part. Riding all day in the heat for some would be a problem, not us seasoned riders because we know the importance of drinking plenty of water. The mistake was not eating so our brains were screaming for minerals. The first night stop and the Harley Tractor riders started the evening ritual of un-coupling the combine harvesters etc while the outcast (me) had parked the Goldwing ( away from the Harleys not my choice) checked in and got to the bar.
Like the caring individual that I am I lined up 15 Pints and 15 triple Ricard for the hard working farmers still outside tinkering with the tractors. Now I am sure you will all know that the French like nothing more than a Ricard with half a litre of water, not for us hard men, down went the triple ricards and low and behold 15 pissed bikers before we even got to the beer. the rest of the trip I think Andy reported that we done about 25 bottles of the stuff.
2007 Gave the boys a huge boost with the success of BARNSTORMER straight on the back of PSY-BAWG you can see the pictures of both by visiting the boys at the HawgHaven link to the left, but you can check out a preview on the thumbs on this page.
2008 We are back to doing what we love and riding to sSpain again, leaving on July 2nd for 14 days.
The boys will be launching this years bike which is called the Bentley Blower, I am sure you can work out what it is based on.
March will see us back at the show in Mainz in Germany.
There is some really huge news around the corner, wont say too much now but the dates are first two weekends in October.
